TASS, Sept. 24, quoting President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video carried by Ukraine’s Novosti Live: after the sit with President Donald Trump, “there was a meeting between our negotiating team and President Trump’s negotiating team.” They discussed the issues already raised with Trump. The American side, he said, “will now take a couple of weeks” to hold talks with Russia. A couple of weeks is a calendar. A calendar is not a signature.
Tuesday’s unused file already had the 40-minute sit and an energy ceasefire discussed, to be conveyed. This morning does not reprint that sit as news. The unused sentence is the follow-on: teams met Witkoff and Kushner, and Washington named a couple of weeks before the Russia handoff. Convey-then-weeks is still not Moscow’s yes. We will not invent a city, a hall, or a trilateral date Zelensky asked for and has not been posted.
