Sunday’s unused two terminals already ran. This is Monday’s unused coalition paper.
Arab News, updated 7:33 a.m. / Saudi Press Agency: residents in Riyadh got a Civil Defense alert at 3:42 a.m. local warning of a potential “aerial threat.” A later alert, minutes after, said the threat had passed. Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, coalition spokesman, then said Saudi air defenses “intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the terrorist Houthi militia towards Riyadh.” That is an intercept on paper. It is not a crater this desk measured. SPA, 5:38 a.m. local / 2:38 GMT: two ballistic missile launchers were destroyed in Sanaa, one of which was used to launch the missile toward Riyadh. Al-Maliki: “Operations continue to dismantle the terrorist Houthi militia's ballistic missile network.” Two launchers. Not four. Anadolu: he said one of those two had been used in a Houthi attack on Riyadh in recent hours.
Al Jazeera, AFP and Reuters / Anadolu, subsequent Monday statement: Al-Maliki then said the joint forces carried out a “qualitative” operation “aimed at neutralizing sources of threat.” That later count is five tunnels used to store ballistic missiles, four ballistic missile launch platforms, and one missile depot in Houthi-controlled areas. Al Jazeera, from his post on X: the operation “focused on cutting off Houthi militia supply lines between areas under their control” and also targeted “fortifications, gatherings of their members, and their military equipment along the front lines inside Yemen.” Do not smash SPA’s two Sanaa launchers into that later four. They are sequential claims, not one number. The coalition’s count is the coalition’s count. We did not stand on the launchers. We will not invent Sanaa fallen.
Al Jazeera / Yahya Saree, Monday: the Houthis “attacked the airport with a ballistic missile, striking the target with precision.” TRT World: Saree also claimed drone attacks on crude oil pumping stations along the East-West Pipeline. Anadolu / Al Jazeera: a separate Saree statement claimed ballistic attacks on weapons depots in Salah al-Din, Aden governorate, and al-Wahat, Lahij governorate. A precision claim is not a confirmed hit on King Khalid International Airport. A pipeline claim is not a confirmed pump-station fire. Sunday’s unused file already had Terminals 1 and 2 open, not five, plus Sunday intercepts. We will not reprint those two terminals as first-day news. We will not smash 13 / 300+ against GACA 12 / 309 into this box. We will not reprint Sunday’s 10 in the south. We will not invent Monday dead at KKIA.
What this means for you
If you needed Sunday’s unused international, it still stands as two terminals, not a full airport, and Sunday intercepts the coalition put on paper. If you needed this morning’s unused file, it is an overnight Riyadh intercept, two Sanaa launchers on SPA, then a later 5 / 4 / 1 tally, against a Saree KKIA claim this desk will not type as a confirmed hit. If you needed Sanaa fallen, wait.
Bottom line: Two launchers, then 5/4/1. Overnight intercept. Saree claim, not a confirmed KKIA hit. Not Sunday’s terminals reprinted. Not Sanaa fallen.
