Perry already ran. This is Sunday’s unused microphone. It is a listing, not remarks we invent.
Reuters, Sunday, Detroit dateline: President Trump will rally Republicans in eastern Michigan today, a day after former President Barack Obama campaigned for Democrats in the state. Reuters: despite attacking Democrat Abdul El-Sayed from the Oval Office and at rallies across the country, he had not yet campaigned in Michigan this year. That is a travel fact. It is not a speech. GOP / White House pool: McMorran Place arena, Port Huron, remarks listed 3:00 p.m. Eastern; doors 11:30 a.m. FOX 2 Detroit / City of Port Huron: the first presidential visit ever to Port Huron and to St. Clair County. A first visit is not a crowd count. We will not invent one. We will not type a line from a stage that has not spoken.
Reuters, same file: the unused Senate box is an open seat — former Republican Rep. Mike Rogers against El-Sayed. Reuters: if El-Sayed wins, he would be the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Senate. That is a résumé line. It is not Nov. 3. El-Sayed, in a recent ad, Reuters: “Faith is a thing there’s just too little of in Washington.” Rogers, Reuters, at a debate last week, alleged without evidence that El-Sayed has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood: “If you are going to go to the United States Senate, we need to know: Are you for America or are you for these terrorist groups overseas?” El-Sayed denied the affiliation and called the question “shameful.” An allegation is not a finding. Reuters: Democrats need a net gain of four seats in the Senate and four in the House to overturn Republicans’ 53–47 and 218–214 majorities. A map is not a result. Reuters: Port Huron sits in an area Trump won in 2024 with more than 66%. 2024 is not 2026. Reuters: the U.S.–Canada tariff fight has hit Detroit auto; Rogers has distanced himself from that policy. A distance is not a vote we invent.
Associated Press / Detroit Free Press, Saturday, Cass Technical High School: Obama already spoke. Free Press: more than 4,000 in the gym and overflow; about 40 minutes. AP: a packed high-school gym. Obama, Reuters / AP / Free Press: critics were trying to make El-Sayed look “less patriotic and less American than they are.” “We have seen this movie before. I starred in it.” AP: “I’ve got a long-form birth certificate to prove it.” “This stuff didn’t work on me. Not in Michigan. It’s not going to work on Abdul.” AP: “Abdul is as Michigan as it gets.” He also backed Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for governor. A Saturday speech is not a Sunday result. Fox News Digital, early Sunday, Truth Social: Trump wrote Obama “was a grossly incompetent President!” and closed “VOTE FOR MIKE ROGERS!” A post is not a Port Huron speech. FOX 2: Michigan early in-person voting opened Saturday, Oct. 24. That window is not Nov. 3. Perry’s unused leftover already ran. Kalispell already ran. Wasilla’s unused $5,000 pledge already ran. We will not reprint those as first-day news.
What this means for you
If you needed Saturday’s unused politics, it still stands as an early ballot in West Palm Beach, then Perry, Jackson and Collins. If you needed this morning’s unused file, it is a 3 p.m. listing in Port Huron for Rogers vs El-Sayed, after Obama already spoke in Detroit. If you needed remarks from McMorran, wait until he speaks. If you needed a Michigan result, wait.
Bottom line: Listed 3 p.m. First Michigan stop this year. Obama already spoke. A listing is not remarks. Not Perry reprinted. Not Nov. 3 invented.
