The same card lists French President Emmanuel Macron at 5:35 p.m. in New York, then an RNC reception and a MAGA Inc. dinner. A closed-press line is not a readout. We will not type one.
CBS News, Jared Ochacher, updated Sunday 2:57 p.m. ET: a city official and the White House confirmed the Gracie meeting. The official: it “will focus on issues affecting New York City and New Yorkers.” CBS: the mayor’s public schedule puts it around 4 p.m. and closed to the press. The Hill, Tara Suter, Sunday 3:18 p.m. ET: same confirmation, same sentence from the mayor’s press office. A Sunday confirmation is not Monday’s result. This board files at 8:00 a.m. ET. 4:10 has not happened.
CBS: this is set as the first time the two meet in New York City. Mamdani has gone to Washington at least twice. November they pledged to work together on the city; February they talked housing. Those sits already exist. They are not today’s unused wire. A democratic-socialist mayor and a Republican president on the same card is not a deal.
Zelensky’s Sunday call — agreed to meet in New York, “could change a lot” — already ran last night. A person familiar saying Tuesday is expected is not a listed hour we will invent. Trump’s UNGA address is Tuesday. We will not promote Monday’s 4:10 into Tuesday’s speech.
