Two senior Ukrainian government officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed to Suspilne that as of Saturday a bilateral encounter has not been finalized or confirmed on the official schedule. An omitted name is not a no. We will not type a meeting that is not on the list.
The hole follows U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz outlining Trump’s itinerary: arrive Monday afternoon, Sept. 21; political events at Trump Tower that evening; address the Assembly Tuesday morning, Sept. 22. Formal bilaterals listed: Britain’s Andy Burnham, Japan’s Sanae Takaichi, a Gulf Cooperation Council session, acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez, and a reception. Kyiv Post: Zelensky said Sept. 8 he was counting on a meeting in the 20s of September to ask for advanced American anti-ballistic systems ahead of winter. “We need packages of ballistics from the Americans.” He repeated the expectation in Canada on Sept. 11. An expectation is not a slot. A request for packages of ballistics is not a delivery.
