The league has a score from Wednesday. It does not have one from Melbourne.
Kickoff: 49ers at Rams, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Netflix, 8:35 p.m. ET Thursday / 10:35 a.m. AEST Friday. Pregame 6:30 ET. First regular-season NFL game in Australia. We will not type points.
Rams, official: Aaron Donald OUT. He did not travel. Head coach Sean McVay, Tuesday: best for him and the club after a two-year retirement and a 16-hour flight; “sooner rather than later.” Unretired Aug. 30. Myles Garrett (knee) has no game designation — McVay said “ready to go.” Donald is the only Ram ruled out.
49ers, official / AP: Alfred Collins OUT for the season — torn patellar tendon, Tuesday practice at AAMI Park. Shanahan: a “big loss,” two D-linemen gone after cuts, Sam Okuayinonu already on a foot. James Thompson Jr. (hamstring) questionable. George Kittle (Achilles) and Nick Bosa (knee) are off the injury report and expected to play; Shanahan said be “smart” with the workload.
Henderson was last night’s out. This is tonight’s card. No score.
What this means for you
If you have Netflix, the stream is the game. If you needed Donald in Week 1, he is in California. If you needed a result, wait until they snap it.
Bottom line: 8:35. Donald out. Collins out for the year. Kittle and Bosa dress. Zero points on the board.
