Sunday’s 39 months already ran. This is Monday’s unused Texas sentence.
FOX 4, Sierra Rains, Sunday 6:49 p.m. CDT, citing the Justice Department: Clayton Lloyd Iley, 41, who operated Clayton Texas Legacy Insurance Group, LLC, was sentenced to 160 months — more than 13 years — in federal prison for wire fraud and identity theft. The sentence was imposed Oct. 1. He pleaded guilty in June. Prosecutors said he offered a scam loan program he knew did not exist, collected over $2 million, took insurance premiums he was supposed to place as policies, and opened credit cards in victims’ names. Investigators said he used Texas Legacy Holdings and Spartan Global for the transfers. He bought over 90 exotic collector vehicles with the proceeds; authorities said those vehicles will be sold to fund restitution. Over $2 million collected is not Sunday’s $0 obtained.
U.S. Attorney Ryan Raybould: Iley’s conduct “caused real financial and emotional harm to the victims he targeted, many of whom trusted him with their personal information and hard‑earned money.” “Those who steal from members of our community, manipulate them with fabricated schemes and misuse their identities will face significant federal consequences.” A quote is not a second count this desk invents.
Sunday evening already filed Isaiah W. Douglas 39 months, Luis A. Franco-Gonzalez 34, Isaiah B. Handford 33, intended $581,123, $0 obtained, Judge Divine, Oct. 1, E.D. Mo. We will not reprint that Missouri box as first-day news. Midday Sunday’s Finnih 78 months already ran. 160 is not 78, and it is not 39.
What this means for you
If you needed last night’s unused crime, it still stands as 39 / 34 / 33 with $0 obtained. If you needed this morning’s unused sentence, it is Iley, 160 months, over $2 million, 90 cars. Charges already pleaded are not a case still waiting on a jury.
Bottom line: 160 months. Over $2 million. 90 cars to be sold. Not Douglas 39. Not Finnih 78.
