Saturday’s petition already ran. Friday’s Nov. 3 clock already ran. This is Sunday’s unused rally.
NBC News, Peter Nicholas, Saturday 8:31 p.m. ET, Clarksville, Tennessee: President Trump said at a Saturday rally, “If we don’t win the midterms, they’re going to blame me. You know that. And if we do win them, I will get no credit whatsoever. It’s true. I won’t get any.” Then: “But I’m working my ass off. You better get out there and vote.” A quote is not a Nov. 3 result. Nov. 3 is still the calendar. We will not type a winner from a Saturday room.
Same NBC file: the speech ran about an hour and a half in an indoor arena in a northern Tennessee county NBC said he won by 18 points in 2024. Tennessee is the seventh state he has visited since the start of October. He had planned an eighth, Alabama, for the Georgia–Alabama game, and canceled it with Hurricane Isaias bearing down. We will not invent that score. He told the room the state’s congressional candidates “are all going to win,” then asked, “What the hell am I doing in Tennessee?” and answered that he wanted to “reward the places that have automatically treated you well.” Rep. Tim Burchett: it “rallies the base.” He closed by reminding the room of the $5,000 line if Republicans keep Congress — that if already ran. It is not a law and not a check. Saturday already filed the unused Supreme Court petition on the dismissed Clinton suit. We will not reprint that filing as first-day news.
What this means for you
If you needed Saturday’s unused politics, it still stands as a petition, not a grant. If you needed this morning’s unused sentence, it is blame-me if they lose, vote Nov. 3, in a state he said was already safe. If you needed a result, wait until the votes are counted.
Bottom line: Blame-me if they lose. Vote Nov. 3. Not a result. Not $5,000 reprinted. Not the SCOTUS petition reprinted.
