Thursday’s unused Medina intercept already ran. Monday’s unused still closed already ran. This is Sunday’s unused airport.
Arab News / King Khalid International Airport, Saturday night into Sunday: Terminals 1 and 2 open today. Terminal 1 is domestic. Terminal 2 is international flights operated by national carriers. That is two terminals. It is not five. The airport told passengers with confirmed bookings to contact their airlines before heading in. A notice is not a full schedule. CNBC: operations were suspended after the Oct. 10 strike. That death count already ran on this desk — CNA / Arab News: 13 killed and more than 300 wounded, against Saudi Gazette citing GACA: 12 dead and 309 wounded. We will not smash those into 14. We will not reprint Monday’s unused Pakistani resident dead and 11 injured as first-day news.
CNBC / Saudi Press Agency / Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, Sunday: two drones and a ballistic missile headed toward Riyadh were “intercepted and destroyed.” SPA also quoted him: 10 ballistic missiles toward the southern region intercepted, and a cruise missile headed for Khamis Mushait intercepted. CNA / coalition on X: “Air defences intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the terrorist Houthi militia toward Riyadh.” AFP, CNA: journalists in Riyadh heard three explosions in the early hours; residents got alerts for a “hostile aerial threat.” An intercept is not a crater we invent. We will not invent Sunday dead at KKIA. CNA, Khamis Mushait resident to AFP, anonymity: “The bombardment has been very heavy since this morning — may God keep us safe. Everything is shaking because of the explosions.” CNA: warnings also for Abha, Taif, Namas, and Jazan. Those alerts are not Thursday’s unused Medina intercept reprinted.
CNA / Yahya Saree, Sunday: the airport is still “unsafe” and a “military target.” “The Yemeni Armed Forces warn all international, regional and local airlines — as well as staff and travellers — against using King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, as it is unsafe and serves as a military target for our forces.” “The Saudi regime shall bear the consequences of any operations at the airport.” A warning is not a confirmed Sunday hit on a terminal we do not have. The Business Times: the airport is operating two of its five terminals; Terminal 3, damaged this month, remains non-operational. Some flights were listed — Saudia, Flynas, and, on the schedule, Air India and Emirates. Most global carriers still had a suspension in place. A listed flight is not a full reopen. CNA, Saturday leftover, not first-day: Civil Defence said it responded to falling debris in Mecca and Medina after intercepting two missiles; the Houthis called that claim a “huge lie.” We will not smash Saturday’s holy-city argument into this Sunday box. We will not reprint Al Jaber, Eryani, or Dhubab. We will not invent Sanaa fallen.
What this means for you
If you needed Thursday’s unused international, it still stands as a Medina intercept the Houthis denied. If you needed this morning’s unused file, it is two terminals at KKIA, not a full airport, plus Sunday intercepts the coalition put on paper. If you needed every carrier flying, wait. If you needed Sanaa fallen, that is not this file.
Bottom line: Two terminals. Not five. Intercepts on paper. Saree: still a target. Not Medina reprinted. Not Sanaa fallen.
