Cape Town already handed six men to the FBI. These six are a Florida indictment.
WCJB, Gainesville, 10:09 a.m. ET, citing the U.S. Attorneyโs Office for the Northern District of Florida: Taurean Jaquan Servance, 24; Jarrett Abram Servance, 45; Jarrett Abram Servance Jr., 25; Terry Lajace Lee, 44; Christopher Eugene Thompson, 56; and Clinton Thomas, 43, are charged with conspiracy to violate the Animal Welfare Act. Thompson was arrested in a raid on his property last year. Investigators: 14 dogs on that property, alleged without clean food, water, and proper exercise. Devices allegedly held pedigree information and online advertising tied to fighting.
Additional counts of possessing dogs for fighting: Thompson 13, Thomas 12, Taurean Servance and Jarrett Servance Jr. 11 each, Jarrett Servance 6. Jury trial set for Oct. 21 in Gainesville. USDA-OIG, Gainesville Police, Alachua County Sheriff, Alachua County Animal Resources. If convicted, each count carries a maximum of five years. That is a ceiling, not a sentence.
