A White House pool report: he touched down at the Ellipse just before 8 p.m. The White House official account posted video of him leaving Marine One. He had been scheduled to depart Sunday. AFP: the administration gave no explanation. Weekend travel changes. AFP noted rain and thunderstorms were in the Camp David forecast for Sunday. Weather on a forecast is not the reason unless the White House says it. We will not type one.
The same Saturday, the State Department told Americans in the Middle East to “exercise heightened vigilance” and those outside the region to “seriously reconsider travel to and through the region,” citing Houthi hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including civilian airports, and warning the conflict “has the potential to escalate rapidly.” An alert is a travel line. It is not a White House statement that the president came home because of it. We will not glue the two.
Iran International: Trump arrived at Camp David late Friday. Axios Thursday’s “annihilate them or do I not” already ran. H.R. 5334 already ran. UNGA bilaterals already ran as a list with a hole. A Saturday landing is not Tuesday’s speech.
