The LRR go already ran. The 12:56 arrival already ran. This is Thursday’s unused liftoff.
CBS News, William Harwood, updated Oct. 1, 11:57 a.m. ET; NASA Space Station blog, Oct. 1: A SpaceX Falcon 9 lifted Crew-13 at 11:10 a.m. EDT Thursday from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The four rode Crew Dragon Grace: NASA commander Jessica Watkins, NASA pilot Luke Delaney, CSA’s Joshua Kutryk, and Roscosmos’s Sergey Teteryatnikov. CBS: the first stage flew itself back to a landing at the Space Force station. NASA: the Dragon reached orbit, separated from the second stage, and opened its nosecone. Delaney radioed “What an epic ride!” Watkins: “Thanks for an amazing ride.” That is a launch we can timestamp. It is not Wednesday’s go poll reprinted.
Same CBS / NASA files: docking is targeted for 7 p.m. EDT at the forward port of the station’s Harmony module — about eight hours, which NASA called the fastest launch-to-docking in ISS history. Space.com, Josh Dinner: booster B1101, third flight, touchdown about 7 minutes 40 seconds after liftoff. Hatch opening is listed later. We will not invent a hatch or a welcome we have not seen. A 1:10 p.m. EDT postlaunch news conference at Kennedy is listed; we will not type that briefing as if it were this copy. Wednesday already filed the LRR go, still NET 11:10, weather then 55%. Morning’s unused sticker still held NET 11:10 and launch-day weather 40% favorable. Those were calendars. This file is 11:10, Grace, four names. A launch is not the poll, and 7 p.m. is still a target.
What this means for you
If you needed last night’s unused go, it still stands as a poll. If you needed this afternoon’s unused science, it is 11:10, Grace, and a 7 p.m. docking target. Not hatch. Not the LRR reprinted.
Bottom line: Crew-13 lifted 11:10. Grace. Docking targeted 7 p.m. Not the LRR. Not hatch.
