U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, as carried on a Sept. 30 DOJ reprint: United States District Judge Dolly M. Gee sentenced Jesus Soto-Parada, 28, of South Los Angeles, to 63 months in federal prison and ordered $17,815 in restitution. He pleaded guilty in December 2025 to one count of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery and seven counts of Hobbs Act robbery. He has been in federal custody since July 2024. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli: “After committing a string of armed robberies and being deported, this defendant illegally returned to our country and went right back to terrorizing our community.” That is the paper. A plea is a conviction on those counts. It is not 71 years.
Same USAO-CDCA account: from January 2024 until deportation in April 2024, Soto-Parada committed at least six robberies in Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Newport Beach, and Agoura Hills. After an unlawful reentry, he robbed a 7-Eleven in Gardena on June 13, 2024, with co-defendant Daniel Pavon, 22, of Gardena. Prosecutors: Pavon pointed a replica firearm at an employee while Soto-Parada stole cash; they fled with about $250. In each of the seven robberies, a co-conspirator used a firearm or replica to threaten the employee. Pavon is serving a four-year term after pleading guilty March 11 to four counts of misprision of a felony; Judge Gee ordered him to pay $250 restitution. AUSAs Jena MacCabe and Caitlin Campbell prosecuted. ATF’s Orange County Violent Crime Task Force investigated. Morning’s unused Roy and Ramancha already ran as charges.
