Wednesday’s Dhahran fire already ran. This is Thursday’s unused intercept.
Associated Press, Thursday: the Saudi-led coalition said it had thwarted a missile attack on the holy city of Medina as well as another attack in the eastern part of the kingdom. The coalition confirmed it intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile over the province of Medina. AP: the statement notably did not assign blame. No blame assigned is not a perpetrator we invent. Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree denied carrying out the attack. AP: the Houthis had previously pledged not to attack airports in Mecca and Medina. A denial is not a reopen. An intercept is not Sanaa fallen. Wednesday’s unused file was an Aramco administrative building, fire, no casualties. We will not reprint it as first-day news.
Anadolu Agency / Arab News, Thursday / Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki: the cruise missile was intercepted and destroyed in the Madinah region. Anadolu: the statement did not identify who launched the missile or its intended target, and provided no details on possible casualties or damage. We will not invent them. Early Thursday, al-Maliki also said a drone was intercepted and destroyed in the Eastern Province. That drone is not Wednesday’s unused Dhahran fire. It is not Tuesday’s unused two intercepts toward Khamis Mushait. France 24 / AFP: Saree wrote that the armed forces “have not carried out any operation today targeting Saudi territory” and called the Medina claim a lie. Two statements. We will not smash them into one verdict. Arab News: Civil Defence later said the danger had passed in Najran and Jizan. An all-clear is not a casualty count we do not have. The Oct. 17 KKIA NOTAM already ran as unused Tuesday paper. We will not smash Saturday’s 13 / 300+ vs GACA 12 / 309 and Sunday’s 1 dead / 11 injured into 14. We will not reprint Al Jaber, Eryani, or Dhubab. We will not invent Sanaa fallen.
What this means for you
If you needed Wednesday’s unused international, it still stands as a Dhahran admin building, fire, no casualties, and Al Sabahah struck. If you needed this morning’s unused file, it is a cruise missile over Medina province, no blame assigned, the Houthis deny, and an eastern drone. If you needed Sanaa fallen, wait.
Bottom line: Medina intercept. No blame assigned. Houthis deny. Not Dhahran reprinted. Not Sanaa fallen.
