The inactive list can wait. The practice-squad paper already moved.
Josh Alper, PFT / NBC Sports, 4:09 p.m. ET: the Patriots elevated running back Lan Larison and punter Mitch Wishnowsky for tonight’s opener at the Seahawks. Both revert to the practice squad after Seattle. TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) is out — we filed that at 1 p.m. Bryce Baringer is on injured reserve, so Wishnowsky punts. Larison, undrafted last year, IR as a rookie, waived late August, back on the squad — joins Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner in the backfield.
Already known, still true: Ben Brown (knee) did not travel. Christian Barmore was cleared earlier in the week. Seattle: Ty Okada (hamstring) out; Nick Emmanwori and Tory Horton were questionable on the final injury report. We will not type an inactive list that has not posted. We will not type a score. Kickoff is 8:20 p.m. ET, Lumen Field, NBC.
Thursday is still 49ers at Rams in Melbourne, Netflix, 8:35 ET. Saturday is still Ohio State at Texas, 7:30 ET, ABC.
What this means for you
If you needed a third Patriots back, the name is Larison for one night. If you needed a channel, it is NBC in 80 minutes. If you text us a score before the ball moves, we will send you back to the pregame.
Bottom line: two elevations. One rematch. 8:20. No score from this desk.
