KOSA First Alert 7, Tamlyn Price, Sept. 24 / U.S. Attorney’s Office: Imelda Magallanes, 51, a Mexican national, federally charged in Midland with one count of voting by an alien in a federal election. Prosecutors: she was granted lawful-permanent-resident status in December 2010 and renewed the card in 2023. Midland County Elections Office records: she first registered in October 2020 using a Texas driver’s license, and voted in the November 2024 general. If convicted, the maximum is one year in federal prison and a fine not to exceed $100,000. A maximum is not a sentence. An information is not a jury.
ICE Homeland Security Investigations is investigating. Evening’s 20 was a Florida state sweep. Midday’s Christiane Vinette Young, 75, was a Middle District of Florida three-count. Do not smash either into this Western District of Texas one-count. Charges, not convictions.
