Saudi Press Agency / Al Arabiya: the intercept was 6:50 p.m. local, Sept. 15, south of Mecca, before restricted airspace. Al-Malki: this was the second claimed targeting of Mecca after a ballistic missile on July 27, 2017. 2017 is not Tuesday. A second claim is not two wrecks we can see.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Wednesday on X, via APP / Arab News: “I condemn in the strongest possible terms the dastardly and heinous attempted drone attack against the Holy Site of Makkah Al-Mukarramah.” He did not name the Houthis. NBC: he recently agreed a joint defense pact with Riyadh and reiterated general support. He also called for restraint. A tweet is not a troop movement.
