Thursday’s 56 flashpoints already ran. Midday’s at least 30 on Al-Aqrud already ran. This is Saturday night’s unused army count.
Arab News, dated Saturday Oct. 3, 15:21, updated Sunday Oct. 4, 12:30: Yemen’s armed forces said they carried out 257 precision operations against Houthi sites, movements, and military capabilities, using jets, drones, artillery, missiles, and rocket launchers. Official spokesman Staff Col. Majed Abdullah Al-Nuzaily said the operations covered Sanaa, Midi, Baqim, and the fronts of Al-Jouf, Marib, Al-Bayda, and Lahj, with the main focus on the Taiz fronts. Quote, per the paper: “According to initial field estimates, the operations resulted in the neutralization of at least 700 militia members, the destruction of strategic and high-value military targets, and the destruction of 170 combat vehicles and equipment.” That is an army claim. It is not a hospital tally we invent, and it is not Thursday’s 56.
Same Arab News file: government forces said they took Same’ fortress and surrounding ground after fighting on the Same’ front, and that in the early hours of Saturday they repelled a large-scale attack on Mount Han and other positions on the western front of Taiz city. Fighting was also reported in Al-Shamaitain, Al-Ma’afer, and Jabal Habashi. We will not invent a recapture of Sanaa, a Hanish verification, or a Council resolution. Thursday already filed Al-Baher’s 56 flashpoints and Nuzail rejecting territorial gains. Midday already filed Anadolu’s at least 30 on Al-Aqrud. A 257 is not that 56, and a claimed fortress is not a 30 we already counted.
What this means for you
If you needed Thursday’s unused 56, it still stands as a commander’s flashpoint count. If you needed this afternoon’s unused international, it is 257 operations, 700 claimed, Same’ claimed — not 56 reprinted.
Bottom line: 257 claimed. 700 claimed. Same’ claimed. Not 56. Not an independent body count.
